MI members joined dozens of other activists for an all day Right to Health Organizer Bootcamp held at Minuteman High School in Lexington. More than 90 attendees built new relationships, developed skills, and are now better equipped to demonstrate to our MA Legislature just how much support Medicare for All and Single Payer healthcare command! |

We had a social hour, a meeting with State Senator Friedman, and a membership meeting. We talked with Senator Friedman about issues including healthcare, carbon pricing, the tax transparency bill, and the Safe Communities Act, and every team shared their accomplishments, challenges, and plans for the future. |

In collaboration with the Harvard Medicine Indivisible Group, we sponsored a forum on “Healthcare in America: What’s Next” featuring a panel of three distinguished healthcare experts: Drs. Alan Meyers, William Hsiao, and Don Berwick. State Senator Jamie Eldridge, who has sponsored several healthcare bills, also attended. Check out our summary of the event and Dr. Meyer’s slides. |

We had a Skype session with James Thompson, who is running for Congress in KS-04. He spoke with us for about an hour and answered questions about his experiences in his earlier campaign, his thoughts about the upcoming 2018 race, and the issues that voters are concerned about in his mostly rural Kansas district. |
