Over 270 people joined the Zoom call last Friday to Win Wisconsin. State Democratic Party Chairperson Ben Wikler discussed the challenges in Wisconsin and the many measures the Party is taking to meet them. There were volunteers from around the country, and Minuteman Indivisible was well represented.
As we noted in the announcement we sent about the Zoom call, Wisconsin is the tipping point state. Trump campaign officials have admitted as much. They know that if they lose Wisconsin, they can’t win the election. So in addition to our commitments to Sara Gideon in Maine, Cal Cunningham in North Carolina and Carolyn Bourdeaux in Georgia, Minuteman Indivisible members will be working hard in Wisconsin as well. Please get involved to Win Wisconsin!
Join special guest Stacey Abrams and meet Carolyn Bourdeaux on Sep 13th at 5pm on a Zoom video conference. Carolyn needs all the help she can get to flip Georgia 7th district. This district is considered one of the top prospects for Democratic pick-up in the country. Carolyn’s Republican opponent is an ER doctor who doesn’t believe in science, has latched himself to Trump’s hip, and is being supported by large anti-regulation, anti-government super PACs. If you are looking for a place to channel your frustration and energy, this race is a great opportunity to make meaningful change.
Stacey and Carolyn will speak and answer your questions about the 2020 campaign, and there will be breakout rooms for invitees to talk further.
You can RSVP for the event and receive the instructions to join the video call here:

Train to be a Super Texter
The Minuteman Indivisible texting team will be resuming its successful training program in activist texting starting Thursday. Sept. 3.
The team trained over 50 texters in the lead up to Together for 2020’s tremendous Text-a-Thon on Aug. 22 and many joined in to send 815,000 texts to voters in North Carolina. In fact, fifteen Minuteman Indivisible members joined as a team--Democracy Protesters--to send over 25,000 texts.
You can learn activist texting using a computer-to-phone program that protects your privacy and uses pre-scripted messages.
Join a virtual training on Resistance Labs, which uses the Spoke texting platform, offers a wide variety of progressive campaigns and is one of the easiest systems for getting started. The Team will provide you with a live texting demonstration and get you trained, signed up and doing your own texting during the hour session.
Once you learn texting with this system, you can more readily also text with other organizations and campaigns according to your interests.
Sessions will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 3. See this flyer for more information and links to sign up.
It’s Official! Ranked Choice Voting has made it to the Massachusetts November state ballot as Question 2. Thanks go out to all the Minuteman Indivisible members who helped by collecting signatures or signing the petition.

Is Lindsay Graham Actually in Trouble in South Carolina?
Jaime Harrison, the first African American chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party and now associate chair of the Democratic National Committee, has shattered fundraising records and forced Graham to play defense, running attack ads that cast Harrison as too liberal for his state. Harrison’s campaign raised nearly $29 million by the end of June, compared with Graham’s $30.9 million. Two recent polls, by Morning Consult and Quinnipiac University, showed the two men were virtually tied. Several political forecasters, including the Cook Political Report, Sabato’s Crystal Ball and POLITICO’s Steve Shepard, rate the contest as “likely” Republican, but RealClearPolitics now calls it a toss-up.Read On...
With the race virtually tied, Jaimie Harrison can beat Lindsay Graham. His campaign needs donations and volunteers - texting, phone banking, postcards, letter writing, more.
