Everything is now virtual, except the election, which is all too real.
Seriously, we have to stay focused on beating Donald Trump, taking back the Senate, holding the House, and adding as many Democrats to state and local offices as possible.
However, the concern uppermost in everyone's minds now is Coronavirus and we want to be sensitive to that as we choose activities and messages. Please engage in the activities you feel comfortable with and don't hesitate to ask event organizers for guidance or make suggestions.
Until the Coronavirus pandemic settles down, our activist activities are all remote: phone banking from home, texting from home, writing postcards at home.
Nevertheless, we are still a Minuteman Indivisible community, so we want to continue talking to and supporting one another and getting together in team meetings. We're just going to do it all online.
The Muster will continue to be a valuable source of information and updates. It's not the only source. Many of us are learning about events and joining activities through other great groups. A lot of what will be in the Muster are events organized by other groups. But as always, look to the Muster for the latest from Minuteman Indivisible. And keep an eye on the calendar for activities that come up between issues of the Muster.
Note that this fundraiser has changed to a virtual event.
Minuteman Indivisible is joining with Force Multiplier to raise money for Lucy McBath. Lucy flipped GA 06 in 2018 and is one of the most vulnerable seats in Congress.
Lucy is currently the only woman in the Georgia congressional delegation and is the first person of color to ever hold her seat. Because of the demographics of her district, she is considered one of the most vulnerable Democrats this election cycle.
She is on the DCCC's list of Frontline Members and her race is a top priority for Democrats this year.
These are a few peer-to-peer texting opportunities available as of today (3/19). Note that campaigns are subject to change at any time and don’t necessarily run on weekends.

Support Voting by Mail
Many areconcerned that fear of COVID-19 will keep Americans from going to the polls on Election Day. The Resilient Elections During Quarantines and Natural Disasters Act of 2020 would give all Americans the right to vote by mail if 25% of states declare a state of emergency, grant $500 million to help states prepare for election disruptions, and require postage-paid self-sealing envelopes for ballots. Call your Congresspeople and ask them to co-sponsor this important legislation.

If we're going to be avoiding public gatherings and/or self-quarantined we may as well stay busy. Please, sign up to write letters to low-propensity voters with Vote Forward. This is a great way to resist: it's so easy and studies have shown these letters to be uniquely effective. All you need is a printer, a pen, and a stamp!

Reclaim Our Vote New Volunteer Training Learn more
Susan Collins just voted to acquit Donald Trump, stating she hoped he "learned his lesson" about extorting a foreign nation to help skew an election. It's time we redouble our efforts to defeat her in November.
Last fall, our elections team selected the Maine Senate race as a key one to focus on to help flip the Senate. In 2020, we'll be coordinating with our friends at Swing Left Greater Boston who've been working in Maine since last year.
Unseat Susan Collins There are hundreds of volunteers who stand ready to reach out to voters in Maine to oust Susan Collins and ensure Democrats' success in Maine in the 2020 election. Please support the Maine Democratic Party to fund the work of a field organizer to coordinate grassroots efforts in the state, so that volunteers can be used effectively in the final GOTV efforts in November.
Let’s Oust Senator Susan Collins — Virtual Phone Bank
When people talk about a campaign having a great ground game, it means they have the people AND data needed to fight for every single vote. That's why we're calling folks in Maine during these cold winter months before canvassing resumes. We need to clean up the Maine Dems' voter lists and ID every possible vote we should invest resources in winning. You can help on Thursdays now through March by joining virtual phone banks organized by Arlington residents Kristin Newton and Rebecca Riccio. This is now a Virtual Phone Bank and they also use Zoom to provide support. Click on date to sign up. March 19 March 26
If you want training before calling, join the webinar (click on date): March 25
