Join other Minuteman Indivisible activists at the Concord Indivisible Huddle@Home. Minuteman Indivisible is joining forces with Concord Indivisible to double the effort to reclaim our democracy in 2020. Please join us this Sunday if you can.
Please participate in this effort to help the Democratic Party of Florida win in November 2020. Florida’s Electoral College votes have been lost by tiny margins in recent national elections, and we are determined that 2020 will be the year Florida supports the Democratic candidate for president!
This postcard action targets Manatee County and replicates aprojectof Sarasota County volunteers, who have sent out almost 5 million postcards to potential voters since 2017.Recent researchshows that voting by mail significantly increases voting, in particular among those who don’t frequently vote. Florida voters can request ballots online or by phone, and we can make it more likely that they do so.
Postcard packets can be picked up at:
Location: 5 Castle Rd., Lexington When: Daily, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fee: $20. to cover materials - leave in container provided (Cash preferred or check made to Jean Milburn)
The cost per card is higher this time because we are including two stamps for each voter. Research indicates voters responded much better than anticipated to the addition of a stamp on the return card.
Note: If you need help getting a package, please contact Jean at 508-358-2563.

What’s at Stake?
Sixteen presidential electoral college votes, holding Senator Peter’s seat, holding two House seats (Elissa Slotkin MI CD-8 and Haley Stevens MI CD-11), and flipping the Michigan State House blue (we just need four seats!) Taking back the Michigan State House blue means overturning gerrymandering, fighting for racial justice, defending water quality/environment and education—and much, much more.
This is not a fundraising event---instead, it is a chance for you to learn about the battle for Michigan.
We will explore the current political dynamics, and what remote volunteers can do to win this must-win state.

Coronavirus Relief: The HEROES Act
The new coronavirus relief bill passed by the House is being ignored by Mitch McConnell. This bill would provide help for ordinary people and not the friends and family of the Senate leader. You can read a summary about the HEROES Act HERE.
We knew that Republicans would try to strip the HEROES Act of its most important protections, but so far they have refused to even consider it. McConnell has been working hard to avoid providing relief to the states, to those on the front lines, and to ordinary families and people who need it, and has repeatedly promised 'the next bill' would do so. Let's make sure our elected officials hold him to it!
Click HEREto demand that they pass the HEROES Act as it was introduced, without any motions to recommit or amendments to water it down! We need every item in the HEROES Act to save lives!
Safeguard Our Elections - Protect Voting Rights
Earlier this month, theMA House passed a billthat enables all MA voters to vote by mail in the fall elections and requires the MA Secretary of State to send absentee ballot applications to all registered voters.
This Tuesday, June 16, the MA Senate will be voting on its own version of the bill (S.2755). Please contact your State Senators and urge them to adopt several critical amendments to the bill to avoid problems like those in Wisconsin and Georgia where local officials were not able to handle the huge increase in vote by mail requests, leading to long lines at the polls and voters whose ballots were not counted.
This indivisible Mass Coalition call scriptlists key amendments (#3, 8, & 33) to urge your Senator to support. Manyorganizationshave also asked Senators to support amendments #1 (to mail all voters ballots for the Nov. election) and #20 (to ensure equity and access when changing polling places). Progressive Mass has anaction scriptthat includes these amendments and others to require same day voter registration (#15) and voter education and outreach about these new voting procedures (#23)
The Legislature is acting quickly to implement vote by mail, but your calls can make a difference between passing a bare bones bill that risks the types of problems seen in other states or more comprehensive legislation that will enable all MA voters to easily and safely cast their ballots this fall,
Join us at this virtual town hall, hosted by the Safe Communities Coalition, to urge legislators to pass the Safe Communities Act and encourage fellow Mass. residents to join this fight and say that justice and dignity for immigrants can't wait. The Town Hall will be held on Zoom and broadcast on Facebook Live.
