Our hopes are high for 2022, but we will be challenged like never before. That is why we must begin now. While many voters think of midterm elections as off-years, we must remind them how much is at stake--perhaps our whole democracy. Neither we nor they can take the year off. We must do everything we can to get the electorate out to vote for candidates who will protect our democracy against the Republican Party's effort to subvert it.
Minuteman Indivisible in 2022
Given the amount of time and energy every Minuteman Indivisible member must devote to educating voters and getting them to the polls, we are consolidating our organizational efforts.
Many Minuteman Indivisible leaders and members put tremendous effort into organizing Together for 2020. With its success, Together for 2020 has committed to extending its work into the future and renamed the organization to Together We Elect.
Minuteman Indivisible will work with Together We Elect for organizing activities, as we did in 2020. The Together We Elect web site will be our principal source of information going forward. All Minuteman Indivisible events will be posted on the Together We Elect calendaralong with activities from other organizations.
The Minuteman Muster will continue to highlight upcoming events and provide the information and motivation it will take to get the job done in 2022.
We are also continuing to work with other Indivisible chapters in Massachusetts. If you are not already subscribed to the Indivisible Mass Coalition newsletter, please consider signing up. The IMC newsletter is a great way to learn about current activities sponsored by all the members of the Coalition.
Indivisibles and others will gather around the state in a Vigil for Democracy marking one year since the January 6 insurrection. See the News-MAGIC calendar for vigils held near Lexington this Thursday.
