Trump is broadcasting loud and clear that he plans to win this election by suppressing the vote. He has installed a GOP megadonor as postmaster general and begun a series of "cut-costing" policies that have led to days-long backlogs as millions of Americans plan to vote by mail due to the coronavirus crisis. He's using social media to spread disinformation about voting by mail, funding lawsuits that keep mail-in ballots out of the hands of voters, and recruiting tens of thousands of MAGA supporters to intimidate voters who show up at polling places.
Getting Out The Vote has never been more critical — or more difficult. The ongoing pandemic combined with Trump's attacks on mail-in voting could result in chaos. We need to educate voters of their rights, of changes to election procedures as a result of the pandemic, and then make sure they actually cast their votes.
Finally, we can counter Republican efforts to intimidate prospective voters at the polls by helping Daily Kos, which has a campaign to recruit two volunteers to help people vote for every one volunteer the GOP recruits to frighten them.
You can make a difference! This Sunday’s 4pm Huddle @ Home Zoom will show you how.
We can’t afford a close election if we want to move past this anti-progressive, anti-democratic, anti-American period. The stakes couldn’t be higher.
But it can be hard to know how to help, especially living in a largely progressive area in a blue state. That’s why Concord Indivisible focuses on connecting you with effective actions in swing states that you can take from home, in community with neighbors.
Inspired by the Minutemen, we’re the citizen sentinels of 2020. Join us. Help bend the arc of American History back towards justice.
This Huddle is all action, with 4 virtual tables you can join:

Help get the ROE Act out of Committee with this Roe Act Toolkit!
The ROE Act, which stands for Remove Obstacles and Expand Abortion Access (S1209/H3320), would reform our state’s abortion laws, ensuring that anyone, regardless of age, income, or insurance status could access safe, legal abortion. This bill would put the right to abortion into our state laws at a time when those rights are slipping away elsewhere. The act is still in committee so we are keeping the pressure on. This awesome toolkit has everything you need to get the word out about the Roe Act.
